The Commission extends a warm invitation to all pilots, whether Corporate,Government or Private, to use the facilities of the Brockville - 1000 Islands Regional Tackaberry Airport. The Commission, in co-operation with the Airport Operator, Brock Air, is looking ahead to improvements which will make the airport available to larger aircraft. We have completed rebuilding the airport electrical system as the first stage in a planned runway extension program. We are also "on the list" for the establisment of a GPS instrument approach (to supplement our ADF approach) when Transport Canada and Nav Canada complete their test program.
Located just minutes away from the industrial parks of Brockville and Elizabethtown, the airport offers many of the conveniences of a big city airport, without the heavy traffic and high costs usually encountered at these facilities. Please put Brockville on your next Flight Plan.
Mission Statement "The Brockville - 1000 Islands Regional Tackaberry Airport serves as an aviation gateway through which business travellers, tourists and emergency response aircraft can find safe and efficient access to the community . It assists not only in maintaining the local economy, but also in attracting new industry. The end result is a higher quality of life for all of the residents which the Airport serves."
